About this course
An explanation of Part 30 (Juz ‘Amma) of the Holy Qur’an based on classical and contemporary works. Attention will be given to the major themes covered within the Juz as well as the historical context of the verses, their reasons for revelation, and the relevant traditions (ahadith) that further clarify their meanings.(3 credit hours)
About the Instructor(s)

Rizwan Ali is currently the Imam and Religious Director of the Islamic Center of Naperville. He was born and raised in Glen Ellyn, IL. He completed his bachelor’s degree from Benedictine University in Social Sciences and a minor in Secondary Education. He completed his master’s degree from Saint Xavier University in Curriculum and Instruction. He completed his doctorate in Educational Leadership at Creighton University. His dissertation focused on the experiences of Islamic school graduates in the Chicagoland area.
He has completed a degree in Shariah from Al Azhar University in Cairo. He is also the Director of Islamic Studies at the College Preparatory School of America (CPSA) in Lombard. He is also a committee member of the ISNA Educational Forum. He also serves as a Chaplain with the Naperville Police Department. He is married and has three daughters
