40 Hadith of Imam Nawawi Ejaza
We are pleased to announce our second 40 Hadith Ejaza certification. Open to ages 10 and up, this is an incredible opportunity to delve into one of the most renowned hadith compilations by Imam Nawawi. These hadith are considered fundamental to Islamic knowledge, covering essential aspects of faith, worship, and daily life – mastering them will grant you a deeper understanding of the Prophet’s (SAW) teachings and guidance.
Program Outline
- Application: Secure your spot by submitting your application by Sept 1st. REGISTER HERE.
- Special Hadith Reading Sessions: On Sunday, Sept 6th from 10am to 12 pm EST, join us for an exclusive reading session of all the hadith with our esteemed scholar and hadith specialist Dr. Muhammad Rahawan. Participants will receive a certificate with an authentic chain of transmission.
- Students who have memorized all the hadith in Arabic are eligible to apply for a special certification. Testing for memorization will take place by appointment.
- Cost for Mishkah Students: FREE (you must provide your student ID number on the registration form.)
- Cost for Community Members. $25 per ejaza. (For example if you wish to only earn the reading ejaza, the total cost is $25. If you also wish to also earn the memorization ejaza, you will pay an additional $25 and the total cost will be $50. Links for payment will be sent after registration.
Materials

- Ensure that you have completed ALL sections of the application.
- You must attend the hadith readings to receive a certificate – certificates will not be issued to those who register but don’t attend.
- If applicants are required to pay, payment must be received for registration to be complete.
About Dr Muhammad Al-Rahawan
Dr. Alrahawan is Mishkah’s Dean of Academic Affairs for the English department, and teaches courses in Fiqh, Hadith and Quran Sciences. He was instrumental in founding the university’s undergraduate Islamic Studies program in English. In addition he has an intensive history of scholarship at one of the oldest institutions in the world, Al-Azhar University. He obtained his B.A. in Islamic studies from Al-Azhar University, earning the highest score at the Faculty of Languages and Translation. He also gained his M.A. and PhD in 2007 at Al-Azhar, both in the field of Hadith Sciences. In addition to teaching at Mishkah, he continues to train local and international students at Al-Azhar University. Dr. Rahawan specializes in Hadith Sciences, Jurisprudence and Criticism, Quran Science and Shafi’i jurisprudence. Among his publications is the notable book Hadith Terminology and Classification: A Handbook.
