Technology Fees Policy

Active and Inactive Account Status

• When a student does not to enroll in any class during a semester, without informing Mishkah, his/her Orbund account remains active for a maximum of one academic year (3 semesters) and the Technology fees still apply every semester.
• If no enrollment in classes occurs after one academic year, the account’s status is switched to inactive and access to the Orbund account is disabled.
• The account remains inactive until the student sends a request to reactivate the account. A reactivation/reenrollment fees of $65 will be charged along with the accumulated Technology fees and any past dues not paid.
• An invoice will be emailed to the student via Paypal. The account will only be reactivated upon payment and review of any required documents and updates to the account.
• Any claim or request to waive accumulated Technology fees accrued during no enrollment while the Orbund account’s status is active, will be rejected.

Avoiding Accumulation of Fees.

• If the student is planning not to enroll for more than one semester in a row, it is recommended that he/she make a formal request in writing to have the account deactivated so as to avoid the application of Technology fees during the semesters of no class enrollment
• When the student decides to reactivate the account, the reactivation/reenrollment fees of $65 will apply.
• If the plan is not to enroll in classes for only one semester, it is recommended to keep the account status active since paying $40 Technology fee for that semester is cheaper than paying $65 reactivation/reenrollment fees.
• However, if the student intends not to enroll in classes for more than one semester, it is more cost effective to request account deactivation because the reactivation/reenrollment fees of $65 would be less than accumulated Technology fees.
