Biography of the Prophet SAW II – ISHSC
About this Course (Summer 2026)
This course is a biographical analysis of the Last Prophet (SAW) focused on the Medina period. Based on authentic sources, it allows students to develop love and appreciation for the Prophet ﷺ, understand why particular Qur’anic passages were revealed, develop the ability to compare and contrast his times with ours in various respects, and fortify one’s knowledge on the compelling reasons to believe in his prophethood. It is about bringing the lessons and example of the Prophet ﷺ to understand how to solve personal, familial and global political problems.
About the Instructor
Ust. Ibrahim Hafidh graduated from Mishkah University with a Bachelors in Islamic Studies and previously studied extensively under Dr Hatem al-Haj. He also holds a BSc in Computer and Information Science from Mankato State University.
He has been an instructor for Mishkah’s online high school program since its inception, In addition to teaching, he is responsible for re-designing and enhancing the courses to meet high schoolers’ needs. He is also a member of Mishkah’s Academic committee, as well as a teaching assistant for the main undergraduate program.
Ust. Ibrahim has been actively involved in dawah and community service for 20 years. He currently serves on the board of Building Blocks of Islam, a social and educational services non-profit in the Twin Cities. As a Dawah Coordinator for Building Blocks, he helped manage and implement multi-level dawah trainings for new da’ees, as well as oversee mentorship services and classes for new Muslims.
By profession, he is a Data & Analytics Solution Architect with over 24 years of experience building data warehouses in both industry and consulting capacities.
