The course is designed to examine the virtue and purpose of inviting to the message of Islam.
Course details
It provides a detailed examination of the history, methodologies, and characteristics of Da’wah, as guided by the Qur’an and Sunnah. The course transitions into examining and building an understanding of the Western and Islamic culture, in order to have a stronger impact of da’wah.
About the Instructor(s)
Rizwan Ali is currently the Imam and Religious Director of the Islamic Center of Naperville. He was born and raised in Glen Ellyn, IL. He completed his bachelor’s degree from Benedictine University in Social Sciences and a minor in Secondary Education. He completed his master’s degree from Saint Xavier University in Curriculum and Instruction. He completed his doctorate in Educational Leadership at Creighton University. His dissertation focused on the experiences of Islamic school graduates in the Chicagoland area.
He has completed a degree in Shariah from Al Azhar University in Cairo. He is also the Director of Islamic Studies at the College Preparatory School of America (CPSA) in Lombard. He is also a committee member of the ISNA Educational Forum. He also serves as a Chaplain with the Naperville Police Department. He is married and has three daughters
