Islamic Creed I
About this course
This course is an introduction on the Islamic creed – focusing solely on the first pillar of faith: belief in Allah. It will cover the proofs for, qualities of, and rights of God as per authentic revelation –focusing on the fundamental branches of Tawhīd in Islamic Theology. It will also analyze various contrary theologies, especially atheism and secular deism.(3 credit hours)
About the Instructor(s)

Br Justin Parrott will be teaching courses in Islamic Creed at Mishkah University. Br Justin has BAs in Physics and English from Otterbein University, an MLIS from Kent State University, and an MRes in Islamic Studies from the University of Wales. He is currently Research Librarian for Middle East Studies at New York University in Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) and Research Fellow for Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research.
Br Justin embraced Islam in 2004 at the age of 20. He studied Islam from a traditional perspective with local scholars and Imams. He served as a volunteer Imam for the Islamic Society of Greater Columbus until 2013.
He is currently the faculty advisor and volunteer Imam for the Muslim Students Association at NYUAD.
